Sydney Seaplanes

World Class Beaches
Some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches are on Jonah’s doorstep. The whole of the Northern Beaches is surrounded with incredible beaches. Jonah’s overlooks Whale Beach and is a short trip down to enjoy the calm of the ocean pool or the wave beach, the famous Palm Beach and Avalon beach are all a short distance away. Join some of the locals for the great surf breaks you’ll find at all of these beaches.
Whale Watching
Even though you can spot a spout or the swish of a whale tail from your room or table in our restaurant during whale season, you may still want to consider a voyage with one of the local vessels for a closer view of the majestic creatures. Fantasea departs from Palm Beach wharf and will take you out to the open ocean to see these majestic sea mammals up close. Whale season is May/June to October/November.
Local walks and landmarks
The Northern Beaches offers some excellent national parks and walking trails around the area including the iconic Barrenjoey Lighthouse featured on the TV series Home and Away. Built in 1881 and steeped with history, this walking trail winds up smugglers track to take in the surrounding views from the Northern Beaches up to the Central Coast.
Art Galleries
The Northern Beaches has a growing art culture and has many local artists residing in the area. A number of art galleries are located in the surrounding suburbs including the Palm Beach Art Gallery, Avalon Art Gallery – Art Depot, Art Gallery on Palm Beach.
Boutique Shopping
Both local Avalon and Palm Beach have a mix of eclectic and boutique shops to explore. Ranging from artisanal homewares, clothing boutiques, book cafes and small eateries. A wonderful area to discover something new.
